Little King Aktiv is a three way compact speaker.

Little King Aktiv is a closed-cabinet loudspeaker with drivers of Audaphon, SEAS and Wavecor.

The kit is delivered with the following drivers:
- a Audaphon AMT-1i air motion transformer (ribbon-tweeter)
- a Seas Excel W18EX001 mids driver
- two Wavecor SW280WA01 woofers

Little King exists in two variants: Little King active with Hypex active electronics or as a passive variant with conventional crossover Little King.

The loudspeaker has been developed by Dennis Frank and Daniel Gattig.

The crossover consists of:
- a 2nd order high-pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) for the tweeter.
- a band pass consisting of a 2nd order high pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) and a 3rd order low-pass filter (18 dB per octave slope) for the mids-woofer.
- a 2nd order low-pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) for the woofer.

The frequency response of this speaker is perfectly linear.

The decay spectrum nearly perfect.

At low volume, i.e. 85 dB at 1 m, the nonlinear distortions are below 0,4% above 300 Hz and doesn't exceed 0,6% at 95 dB at 1 m between 300 and 15000 Hz.

An excerpt from the Klang+Ton review (Translation of the author into English)

"And the Little King sounds as good as we have measured - in all three variants, of which you can program a lot more yourself, but the Hypex module is limited to three presets that you can use in the quick access via button. When it comes to hi-fi tuning, the compact box ensures ultra-deep and pitch-black bass that we normally know from much larger constructions. The two Wavecors are a force of their own in their small housing and make any subwoofer absolutely superfluous, unless you want to tear down the building. The Seas Excel and the AMT do a fantastic job in the mid-high range and play as precisely and neutrally as one could wish. If this almost analytical behavior is too much for you, you can quickly switch to the "British tuning" and bathe in a warm melodious sound that is actually reminiscent of some of the loudspeaker classics by Kef et al. And with the "party tuning", there is really cracking and popping out of the speakers - a fantastic choice for loud, and I mean: LOUD rock music."

Conclusion of the magazine Klang+Ton:

"The best of many worlds: The Little King, especially in its active version, is a loudspeaker that knows no musical limits and reproduces every kind of music in the best possible way.<6quot;
