Alcone Sub20 MK3 (2016)

Alcone Sub 20 aus Zeitschrift K+T 6/99
Technical data:
- power: 120 Watt sinus/230 Watt music
- frequency range (-8dB): from 27 Hz
  (upper crossover frequency adjustable)
- max. sound pressure (1m): 110 dB
- size (HxWxD): 85 x 35 x 45 cm
- speaker type: bass reflex, 100 L
- impedance: 4 Ohm

The Alcone Sub 20 is a perfect addition to Lia AMT or other satellite systems. Dimensions are 85 x 35 x 45 cm (HxWxD) containing two Alcone AC 10 HE with aluminium cone and a Audaphon AMP-24 amplifier with an output of 2x 90 Watts into 4 Ohm.

Audaphon AMP-24

The larger membrane area of the Sub 20 produces considerably more oomph than the Sub 10. Frequency response is from 27 Hz (-8 dB) respectively 29 Hz (-3 dB).

Now in 2016 a new amplifier was added: Audaphon AMP-24. AMP-24 consumes as little as 0.5W in standby.

The plate amplifier provides:

The Audaphon AMP-24 amplifier module is located at the rear of the cabinet. The module features state-of-the-art Class D amplification ensuring enormous power output with top quality sound, fitted in a small cabinet.

Alcone Sub 20 with amplifier module Mivoc AM80 MK II

Alcone Sub 20 aus Zeitschrift K+T 6/99 Mivoc AM 80

Subwoofer module Mivoc AM 80 is a module with gain control, cut-off frequency control and phase inversion switch. RCA sockets (to connect to pre-amp out) and binding posts (to connect to the main amp) are available. The satellites may be looped through the module. Required cut-out see description of the module.

Since both bass drivers are connected in parallel the resulting total impedance of 4 Ohm enables the amplifier to develop its full power.

Connection is straight forward and simple:
- The two wires on the rear side of the module have to be connected to the driver
- The two left and two right loudspeaker output terminals of your amplifier have to be connected to the four binding posts of the module
That's it! Should you want to release your speakers of the duty to produce low bass - that's were a subwoofer is at its best - then they should be connected to the terminals. Otherwise, there are 5 different, additional ways, to connect your amplifier to the module. Please contact us if you need help.
